Position Responsibilities
- Coordinate with leadership and office staff to facilitate existing work and pursue new opportunities
- Serve as the project lead for land development projects
- Develop civil engineering designs for land development projects
- Prepare civil engineering documents for land development projects
- Complete and/or verify the accuracy of engineering calculations
- Effectively communicate with clients, staff, and senior leadership
- Collaborate with team members and mentor staff
- Research Federal, State, and local regulations for project-specific requirements
- Monitor project budget and schedule
- Meet project deadlines
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Currently possess, or have the ability to obtain, a Professional Engineer license now or in the future
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- Self-disciplined/motivated individual who also works well in a team environment
- Valid driver’s license
- Physically able to perform work in the field
- Legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, restrictions, or need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located
- Occasional out-of-town and overnight travel is required for professional development and/or project-related work
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with site and land development projects
- Experience in producing civil engineering plans or drafting experience with the desire to learn plan development for civil engineering projects
- Knowledge of stormwater management best practices
- Knowledge of land development permitting and Federal, State, and local regulations
- Interest or experience with business development of professional services
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Meticulous attention to detail – demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, organized, monitors own work to ensure quality, and meet deadlines
- Be results-oriented and be able to prioritize work with limited or no supervision
