Position Responsibilities

Coordinate with leadership and service line staff to facilitate existing work and pursue new opportunities
Serve as the project manager for municipal engineering projects
Manage the development details, designs, and plans for municipal engineering projects
Prepare required documents for municipal projects
Complete and/or verify the accuracy of engineering calculations
Effectively communicate with clients, staff, and senior leadership
Collaborate with team members and mentor staff
Research Federal, State, and local regulations for project-specific requirements
Research potential funding and grants that can be used by municipalities
Monitor project budget and schedule
Meet project deadlines

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field with 8 years of experience
Currently possess a Professional Engineer license
Experience in producing civil engineering plans
Experience with municipal project design
Knowledge of municipal permitting and Federal, State, and local regulations
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Solid organizational and time management skills
Self-disciplined/motivated individual who also works well in a team environment
Valid driver’s license
Legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, restrictions, or need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located
Occasional out-of-town and overnight travel is required for professional development and/or project-related work

Preferred Requirements

Construction experience
Knowledge of stormwater management best practices
Knowledge of utility design
Experience with business development for professional services
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Meticulous attention to detail – demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, organized, monitors own work to ensure quality, and meet deadlines
Be results-oriented and be able to prioritize work with limited or no supervision
